Yes

I could write today
of things left unsaid
if only it wouldn’t
hurt so much;
I could write today
of things left undone
if only it wouldn’t
tear me to shreds;

I could write today
of the untouched,
unclaimed, untorn good,

I would probably
write today
if only I could.

Indi, this is striking.
"untorn" suggests interesting idealism perhaps.
Vaguely reminds of Zhuang-ze (Chuang-Tsu)'s expression: "the Uncarved Block" (aka God, one could say).

I want to read more of your words...
where'd the clavicle go one wonders?

I could write today
of fears within
if only it wouldn't
reveal my desires

Your words are always a treat. They leave me feeling as if I just met someone who wouldn't lie....not necessarily reveal all...but definitely not lie

A lot of things left unsaid, I do agree; silence would only hurt more,
sometimes even the word "yes" comes back to haunt you......
did you ever want to say "yes" but did not..?
something that comes back to haunt you...??
